A funeral service typically takes place with the body present, before burial or cremation. A memorial service is held to celebrate and remember a loved one’s life, and can take place at any time afterward, with or without the body or ashes present.
How does the cremation process work?
After collection and completion of the required documentation, we arrange the cremation date with the crematorium. If a service is chosen, this happens first, followed by the cremation itself. Ashes are typically returned to the family within a few working days.
What does cremation cost in Cape Town?
Costs vary depending on whether you choose direct cremation or a traditional service beforehand, and which additional options (urn, service venue, etc.) you select. Contact us for a personalised quote.
